Professional Development Grant application was approved for the participation in a two-day workshop during April in Oakland, CA entitled Diverse Techniques for Community Mosaic Projects. Thank you, again, to the Nevada Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts for their generous support.

Participant in The Following Sea: An installation by artist Lauren Gillette... A linear narrative, floating in a series of 56 glass bottles to be shown in a gallery setting; using humor, community, irony and lots of glass bottles to hack away at an illness/trauma piece. Participant in The Meal: One moment. One meal. One photograph. Let's eat. On February 24th at 12pm EST, thousands of people joined around the world in a simultaneous global meal. Photos were snapped of individuals and their meals and mailed to Art House Co-op. The exhibit from these self-portraits, documenting the world's largest communal snack is now on view. Artists in Cellophane (A.I.C.), the sponsoring organization of Art*o*mat® is based on the concept of taking art and "repackaging" it to make it part of our daily lives. The mission of A.I.C. is to "encourage art consumption by combining the worlds of art and commerce in an innovative form. A.I.C believes that art should be progressive, yet personal and approachable. What better way to do this, than with a heavy cold steel machine?" Don't go around artless!

The Sketchbook Project is a collaborative series of art books created by 5,000 artists from around the world. Anyone — from anywhere in the world — can participate.
